Default Tiny black bugs in my apt. Help me get rid of them.

Ok, so I moved into my place here about 2 months ago. Back then I noticed an occasional tiny (about the size of a normal ant's head) black bug crawling around on my kitchen counter. No big deal.

Now about 2 months later these damn things are EVERYWHERE.
I can't open a cereal box and just reclose it by rolling the bag and closing the top anymore. They'll get in there. Found that out when I went to have some breakfast one morning and after pouring my milk in found about 50 of the little bastards floating on my milk. NASTY!!!!

I can't leave bananas laying out anymore, because within an hour of putting them out they'll be swarming with these damn bugs.

They don't fly, just crawl. They seem to be making their way into my living room slowly but surely. I noticed that when I left a glass of juice sitting out on the table while out washing my car. When I came back a few hours later there were bugs in my damn glass.

This ****'s getting ridiculous and nasty. I'm afraid to sit down on my floor because they might be in the damn carpet.

Anybody ever run into these damn things and win a battle with them? I'm going to Wal Mart to go pick up some of those fogger cans and pop those off in a bit.

What the hell are they???

I guess they're about the same size as gnats though. Just no wings.
Let me lure some out in the open and try to get some macro shots for you guys so you know what I'm talking about. Might just do that while I'm out shopping for death in a can for the fuggers.

What do you mean what? I cant make that statement any clearer. If they are gnats, it helps to take out trash that may be laying around. Got it?

if hawaii is anything like florida, you can take the trash out but it will only slightly help.

gnats fly, the OP said these bugs do not have wings nor do they fly. Thats probably where the 'what?' comment came from.

sounds like they are Banana aphids

My Apt IS clean. I'm a damn neat freak. Garbage is taken out almost daily (I use plastic grocery bags, so there's no nasty *** garbage can for things to breed in), and I vacuum at least twice a week.
And yeah, those pics are pretty close. Little black dots, but these little fuggers move. Aphids, if I remember right, don't really move. And they live on plants, not in my cereal boxes.

perhaps they came with some of the bananas you purchased, and then colonized in your house and cherrios?!?! no but seriously, from what you describe, it does sound alot like aphids.

Trust us floridians, we deal with all sorts of creepy crawlies.. not just tourists.

Sounds like the same things we get in our house. We've had to throw away all the open food [chips, cereal, etc] and any stuff that was not like brand new because of these things multiple times.

I'd suggest throwing out all your food and getting your house sprayed. It's a pain in the *** but probably the only way to deal with this.
