the motor came with the spoon ecu, spoon rebuilt lsd tranny, spoon mounts, and its a civic typeR motor stroked to 2.0L. I thing that he did got to modacar but they did not have what he was looking for. The shope where he got the motor from they got all there motor from Japan and it take like 6 weeks get them in. The motor put out 230 to the wheels last weeks when it came in.
Man I think your boy got ripped off becuase I just check the Spoon website and it listed the Spoon preped B16B for 380,000yen. That should only come out to $3,100 USD. Adding the tranny which cost 160,000yen($1,300USD),computer is only 80,000yen($650USD),Spoon mounts are pretty cheap only $300USD. Grand total is $5,350USD. The only thing I couldn't find the price on was the 2.0L stoker kit. I thought they discontinued that a long time ago.

dude a stock USED b16b motor goes for more than that in the states.
CAR IS SOLD, its been good guys.
oh yeah, by the way. spoon motors have never been proven to rev to 11,00 rpms, it was only a speculation. my friends 1.8L stroked 2.0 rev'd to 10,500 about 5 times before it went bye bye... so if you think its reliable enough to rev all day long, good luck to you and your 14G's.
edit: and yes, it was running full 100% real spoon sports components. its garbage.
The motor put out 230 somthing hp last week on the dayno and about 260hp to the crank. The guy who got the motor for him said that every 10,000 miles he will have to maybe rebulit the motor.
And... Your friends special? For 14 grand you coulda built a B20VTEC TURBO 100 times more reliable than that putting out just as much power at stock boost with hell of alot of change left for other things.
