The problem with bouncing around all over the place in one big trip is that you'll get bored of "sites" very quickly. I spent a few weeks in Europe years ago and ditched the museums and tourist **** after a couple days. Spent the rest of the time making friends at hostels and then going out to eat and drink. Spent my mornings and afternoons hungover in a park, reading a book and eating a sandwich nine times out of ten.

And you know what, it was awesome because I didn't have to be at work, I wasn't rushed to look at stuff I wouldn't have looked at here at home, and nobody gave two craps what I was up to.

I spent less in three weeks overseas than I have in 3-4 days on trips to places like NYC or Chicago, which was awesome.

I'd go to Vegas for a few days, go hard in the paint, then travel to a nice relaxing tropical location and recoup and relax. Then, off to Europe. Where to in Europe? Italy, maybe. Or Spain.

if you do it right you can see a good chunk of the world on $15k.

I'd start by getting a duffle bag from an army supply store and then just wearing jeans, tshirts, my old sneakers (for when I'm in other countries, dont want to give a vibe of money/worth) then renting a cheap hatchback and drive it around the country. just grab a sleeping bag from walmart and sleep in the car and use laundry mats for clothes and KOA's/truckstops for showers.

after that, head to the border and start seeing south america. once I get over seeing that, I'd head to the nearest international airport and get the cheapest plane ticket to europe. go all over europe using their rail system, boat system, etc. Then end up in hong kong and hope I dont disappear and then hit up japan and use its rail system to get around.

If there's any cash left I'd try hitting up australia but only one of the major cities, probably sidney. then if there's any cash left, I might try island hopping or just head home.
