Prestone has been around forever. I think they know what they're doing. So I use their stuff all the time.

I use Factory coolant it makes me feel like I'm running Powerade Mountain Blast in my cooling system. And that cools me down on a hot day.

Why use 50/50? It's like half as much if you just buy antifreeze and dilute it yourself. however, it's better for your cooling system if you use distilled water, this prevents corrosion from minerals in regular tap water. Lord knows what prestone mixes in their 50/50, but I'd bet it's not distilled water.

Dont run just water in your system. You need some sort of lubricator/rust inhibitor. If your temps don't get down very low run around a 20/80 or 30-70 mix. Or the water wetter as mentioned. Anti-freeze doesnt just prevent teh freeze. And fyi I run prestone in all my vehicles except my bike.

if you run just water, your **** will corrode. i've seen one too many generators (albeit with iron blocks) that rust and then clog the radiator. no amount of flushign will fix it)

Water + water wetter will not rust your internals and it runs a lot cooler than antifreeze. If you live in a cold *** area use antifreeze.

Its not just antifreeze, its COOLANT.

The 50/50 mixture raises the boiling point of the entire mixture to a safer level than water alone.

If honda intended for us to use water in a honda, they would say so.

Just use green coolant, or the honda type 2 (blue stuff). I use the blue personally because I like to stick with OEM.

Water + water wetter runs cooler than COOLANT and it's safe. Ask me how I know.
