Default New LED DLP tvs coming out this year

http://www.cnet.com/4831-11405_1-6413134.html

Changes - No Color wheel, No need to replace bulbs, 7 sec startup, No rainbows, More accurate colors.

the samsung tv is coming out in april, we should see alot of good new hd tvs arriving this year. Also look for the SED technology.

Not really the correct thread but hell atleast its a TV thread. I'm curious as to the difference between a LCD and a LCD projection TV? I bought a LCD projection TV awhile back and I notice some TV's say just LCD while some say lcd proj. I know mine is deeper than some I've seen (12") but whats the difference?

A flat type LCD TV is like a computer monitor. A rear projection LCD has a chip in it that projects the image onto the screen. Like a DLP has a color wheel that projects the image and a CRT has guns that project the image. RPLCD TV's are thicker while the flat type are a few inches. Like plasma TVs.

Yep.

Are there any currently-available products out now using OLED beside the Sony Net Walkman thingy?

there is a new CRT technology coming out very soon that will make it possible to have bigger sizes and compacted size. im happy with my 32 inch xbr. i had it professionaly calibrated by an ISF calibrater annd the picture quality is rediculous.

Spend some time with a new SXRD sony in a dark room and tell me its not the best picture you've ever seen. I've never seen a 1080P crt by the way.

a 1080p crt isnt to far away, there is a new crt technology thats coming out soon....

lets not forget the the high end sony crts accepts close too or the full 1080i signal.

not to mention theres is no 1080p broadcasts yet

I've seen some flip phones that have OLED displays on the outside for the mini display area. I think there are a few other small electronics that use the technology as well. MP3 players, etc...
