My friend/neighbor used to work at the LR dealership near by after losing his job at EFI Technology.

lulz, the **** that falls apart is just mind blowing.

Maserati, cost about the same as a Ferrari, but you get a 90 degree crankshaft so it sounds worse and it's even slower. no

Specialist dude: "This is a really nice piece you've got here. Very rare, best conidtion I've ever seen. This item should sell at auction for $50,000-60,000."

Item owner: "Oh wow, that's great to hear!"

Rick: "So what are you looking to get for it?"

Item owner: "Well the man said $50-60k, but I'll be happy with $30k today."

Rick: "I can do it for $27.50."

Rick was on Dave Attell's (sp?) Insomniac awhile before this show aired... I believe he even had hair.
They are open 24 hours a day... People are stupid when it comes to gambling.

Although, Rick did tell this cool story on Insomniac where he was saying (sorry if this story is a little inaccurate, but its correct for the most part) that some guy went out and bought 3 or 4 LCD's, pawned them that night, went and made a **** ton of money gambling it, came back, and returned the LCD's to walmart.
People do this **** and then lose money... so I'm guessing rick is sitting nice.

they always say when dealing with an auction its tricky, cause of all the fees they slap you with and even then there's no guarantee that people will offer that much money.

i can understand why they lowball because they gotta pay for restoration sometimes and they also need to cover their overhead but a lot of times whatever it is they offer is just downright insulting.

These guys will drop $25,000 cash to buy a coin and flip it.

They have money and lots of it. I wouldnt be surprised if they each for $10,000 an episode

EDIT: Chumlee makes $200K a year...there you go

Rick Harrison net worth=$5 Million

those tools on jersey shore make like 10g's per ep although that was last year so there's a good chance that it could be more now.

this is probably just from the show. like the people on jersey shore i'm sure the pawn stars guys are racking in money from other sources like personal appearances, endorsements and what not. people say that ever since the show started business has booming for them so that's more money there. also if you've been on their store's website they have all this tacky, overpriced merchandise for sale and i'm sure they're getting a cut from the sales of that stuff.

Lol at people who don't know how specialty business works.

Asking ain't getting man, and some stuff will skyrocket or plummet over night, in the end, cash is king. Talk is cheap, and whiskey costs money.

He doesn't lowball. An appriaser is basing his numbers on an estimated auction selling price. Auctions are where people who KNOW what they are buying congregate. Pawn shops is where people looking for a good deal or easy money congregate.

And it isn't as though he forces them to take HIS offer either. I have seen plenty of people walk out without accepting his offers.
