So I caught that Top Gear episode where they have Rick and ChumLee on for an interview. When he asked Chum-Lee what he drove it literally blew my mind. A Maserati and a Range Rover? Jesus... how much are they paying these guys? I get it... it's "the #1 show on cable".. but damn. Really? I know towards the end Friends actors got a mil apiece per episode, and we all know what Charlie was getting for 2 1/2 men.... but this is Pawn Stars on History. I didn't see them making over a few grand apiece, per episode. Guess I was wrong.
Anyone have an idea of what someone like this makes?
I knew that this is what this thread was going to be about, because my mind was equally blown.
Like mentioned above though, just about any idiot can LEASE a couple car high end cars.
Also fyi, just because a show can claim "highest rated on cable tv" doesnt mean they are actually the highest rated out of anything ever played on cable tv.
They are simply the highest rated show in whatever their specific category is lol.
I always wondered how the hip hop morning show I'd listen to in the mornings could claim they were the highest rated morning show when 90% of the people who listen to morning radio are old people. Then I found out how ratings and ratings claims actually work.

Leasing those cars isn't much when your a celeb...even a B-lister
Bare minimum it's gotta be 3 grand a month in JUST lease payments, probably closer to 4. Then factor in insurance, gas, etc, he's probably spending 5 grand a month on just his cars. I guess it's not much in the grand scheme of things, but if he's spending 5 Gs on his car, I'd assume his rent is similar. Maybe he just lives beyond his means, but I'd expect him to be driving something a lot less expensive.
You do realize that they get paid for the TV show and the shop? I doubt the shop makes much, but the TV show must make a lot. It is discovery channel, and discovery's got money to blow for stuff like this. (Shows that people watch, etc.)
I'm guessing he make's something like $1million+/year (owner of shop)
