I've had it happen to me...it went away after I was almost done the tube. Guess my mouth toughened up.

same here but I've noticed that a piece of my gum tore around my tooth and was actually bleeding which I noticed when I spit it out in the sink and I just started using pro health maybe a month ago. I'm real susceptible on getting canker sores and I did use this toothpaste from rembrandt that didn't have als (ammonium lauryl sulfate) or sls (sodium lauryl sulfate) those are the ingredients that make it foam up and they put it in garage floor cleaners and also shampoo as well, I don't think they make it anymore cause I can't find it anywhere.

I brush twice a day and floss at night. I used to brush too much with an electric toothbrush and it actually caused damage to my gums, so I have to use a soft bristled brush while brushing softly to prevent more damage to my gums. I'm a really clean person. I shower at least twice a day. Sometimes, especially during the warmer days, you might see me showering 3x a day. I carry around hand sanitizer in my car just in case I am going to eat finger foods somewhere.

Crest Prohealth and a few other toothpastes have a chemical in them that causes allergic reactions in some people. The strands of skin I was pulling out of my mouth were often 6-8 inches long. Feel free to google about this. I am simply repeating what my dentist said to me.

"Since using Pro-Health toothpaste, I've noticed a "shedding" of the lining of my mouth. It is like a layer peels off each time I use it. My mouth feels cleaner than ever, but I'm not sure if this is normal?

The film that you have noticed in your mouth is not unsafe and is a result of the natural process to remove dead cells from the skin surfaces in your mouth. The cleaning action of both Crest Pro-Health toothpaste and rinse can accelerate this process and often results in the skin coming off in sheets, making the removal of dead skin cells more noticeable." -Crest website. http://www.crest.com/prohealth/dab_askOther.jsp

It was making my teeth look worse than normal even while brushing twice a day, so I have been using other brands.

it helps make your teeth whiter if you don't consume heavy coloring agents such as coffee or tea. they become whiter, but at the same time, are more susceptible to strong coloring agents and end up staining your teeth even worse. their mouth rinse doesn't have the ADA seal of approval, but their toothpaste does.

It's all the chemicals and inactive ingredients that are basically polishing not only your teeth but anything that touches your mouth.

Aside from that search sodium laurel sulfate, pretty nasty stuff. It's used in just about every hygiene products out there.

You guys should try Aloe Vera based toothpaste. No flouride, and I have yet to find toothpaste that leaves my teeth feeling so clean and smooth.

Sorry for quoting you.

OMG, somebody finally has the same question as me!

I feel the little "gunk" left over in your mouth is sperm. It is white, thin, and mushy/liquidly. Like sperm.

Edit: This "Sperm" only happens with Colgate and Crest "Whiting"? toothpaste products.
Arm & Hammer Peroxi-Care Baking Soda & Peroxide Fluoride > this serm

I only read 80% of this thread...
