Icon2 Can you wash your car too much?

During Spring, Summer, and most of Fall I try to wash my car once a week.

I recently just bought a one month unlimited Rain-X complete car wash ticket from Foam & Wash for $30 bucks for the winter time when I cannot wash my car my hand.

Should I limit the amount of times I go per week or is it safe to go every chance I have?

Thought I'd ask before I got carried away Don't want to damage my car at all.

Throw me some answers/opinions

I'm assuming they have already been salting the roads up there.
Seems a bit pointless to do it anymore than once a week.

Yeah they've been salting/sanding for a few weeks now. My car gets covered in salt after about a day or 2.

Good thing you only drive an ej8, so who cares if it gets dirty?

PS: I don't care if it might be an em1.

Pretty much the same here. It's rare that I was mine.
With a black car, it's kind of pointless to try to keep it clean.

I have a gray car and I can tell you. It doesn't really look any different from being washed and unwashed. I just clean my windows at the gas station and call it a day.

After a major snow storm when they salt i'll go to one of those shitty do it yourself wash places and blast out my wheelwells and underbody, might spray off the car. Pointless to try to keep a black car clean in the winter.

You wont damage the paint as long as your washing the car right, using the right products. Which you probably arent, so your paint probably is getting damaged.

Especially in that automated car wash, thats definatly not good for the paint.
