Default Brake fluid on paint?

What happens when brake fluid accidentally spills on someone's paintjob? Does it **** up the paint right away or no?

Over time it will, works like acid paint starts to peal.

How long does it take before it starts to peel? Like if left overnight?

Prob. not over night it will take some time. I have seen it happen in older cars. It will damage you're paint job for sure.

depending on the condition of your paint, the damage could start immediatly.

Brake fluid could/will take paint off and take it to straight metal if left long enough.

Newer brands of brake fluid are somewhat paint safe but you will never see me pour it on.

I painted a line on the floor in my garage as a divider and when I bled my brakes I had some brake fluid get on that line... i just noticed the front and rear of the line (where the wheels/brake caliper/bleed screw was) the line is down to the concrete... it didn't do it right away but it did eventually eat it all away
