Default Black Friday 2013 deals?

Anyone seen any published Black Friday deals yet? I saw that Best Buy is supposedly offering up a LG 55" 1080p 120Hz TV for $499 on the 29th.

After having a Sony 30" tube HDTV for the past 8 years we finally decided we would give ourselves a new TV for Christmas. Looking for the best deal on one, at least 42". 55" might be a bit large for the room, actually. Would like 120Hz, but Smart (with Netflix capability) will be a must.

You still have a CRT tv? Why would anyone in this day and age still own one, especially if it's only 30"? It just blows my mind at this point. I have a friend that still had one last year and I was helping him move, I flat out refused to lift his stupid *** 37" crt tv. I told him to stop being a cheap ****, drop the $200(if that) for a new tv, and get with the ******* times because I'm not lugging around 100 pound awkward pieces of **** for cheap asses anymore.

lol man we (or I, anyway) have wanted a new TV for years, just seems like we never have money or always have other things we need to get that take priority. We already have a 1080p projector shooting on a 72" screen in the back room, and I'm planning to make that screen larger one of these days.

And actually our bedroom has a larger 32" LCD. It was a hand me down from my parents, and only reason we didn't put that in the living room is because we only have room for a wall-mount TV in the bedroom. Yes we have a small house.

Yeah that damn CRT TV weighs almost 200 lbs.

Some people just don't care man.

I want a TV too though, since we moved our old TV is too small for the living. I'd like to pickup a nice 55" and retire the current TV to bedroom duty.

Don't get a Smart TV, just get a Smart Blu Ray player.

I have a Smart TV but it doesn't do anything a Smart Blu Ray can do and the if you're gonna get a Blu Ray player anyways (you should), it'll be cheaper to buy that smart.

We never watch BRD's in the living room, always in the home theater. Only thing we want the Smart for is Netflix access, which we sometimes would like to have in the living room.

Honestly I could probably do without an optical player in the living room altogether.

'course I also plan on hooking my computer (sitting next to the TV) up to the TV with HDMI and to the amplifier with optical, so I COULD just use the TV as a computer monitor from time to time and get to Netflix that way.

The price difference between a smart tv and a non-smart tv is much more money than it would cost to buy a smart blu ray player. It would have Netflix, YouTube, whatever you want. But a computer hooked up would be even cheaper.
