Will 185/65R15 Tires fit on 15x6.5 Rota Slipstreams?
Hi,
I have Pirelli p4 185/65R15 tires on all four wheels and am thinking of getting a set of 15x6.5 Rota Slipstreams. Will I be able to use my current tires with these rims? On a side note what are the advantages of staying wth 15" rather than going bigger to say a 16"?

If you are on steelies right now chances are they are 14" and wont work with the rotas. If you do have 15" steelies I would still buy new tires although you dont NEED to.

A 65 series tire is massive for an import. It really just depends on what you're going for. If you want to lower you car more than a couple inches you're going to need more like 50 series. I have 15" DR16's with Falken 185/50/15's and can slam my car all the way down with no problems. Bigger tires have better ride quality, but less handling around corners. IMO tire size can make or break the entire look and stance of a vehicle. If you have smaller tires it just keeps the proportions in line and sets up for a really nice look. Invest in some nice tires for your wheels, you won't regret it.

If your car is a '99 Civic DX (I'm guessing based on your username), 185/65-15 is very big for your car, a full inch larger in diameter than your stock size of 185/65-14. You can mount 185/65-15 on the 15x6.5 rims but it might rub and it will throw off the gauges. If they come with the wheels and you're willing to pay the price for the wheels only, you may as well get them and try them out; if they rub, you can replace the tires and you're still ahead. But when you're buying 15" tires for your car, stick to 195/55-15 or 205/50-15.
