clicking sound while braking
I just replaced my inner and outer tie rod ends. I took it for a litle spin right after i did it to see if everything worked fine. Other than an ovbious alignment needed the car seemed fine. However, after a while a rythmic clicking sound was heard while braking at low speeds. The slower the car was moving, the slower the clicking sound. When i release the brake no sound is made.
The performance of the breaking is the same as before, except for this concerning sound.
Does anyone have any input on this. And if you tell me i messed up while doing my tie rod ends and now need to spend thousans o dollars to fix it i will MURDER YOU!!!

Re: clicking sound while braking (marks97el)
are you sure its just under braking and not around corners and such?
if your driving a honda it will not cost thousands of dollars barely hundreds

Re: clicking sound while braking (crawlin)
A clicking sound is not uncommon when using aftermarket brake pads. It's usually caused by brake pads that are ever so slightly different in size or shape from the stock pads, so they shift slightly inside the calipers when the brakes are applied. If so, it's nothing to worry about.
Oh, and BTW, this is the "Wheel and Tire" forum, not the Brake forum. Ask in your model forum (Integra forum, Civic forum, etc) for questions about brakes.
