Nitto Motivo Tire Review
Thanks to Nitto and Rhino Custom Detailing, I had the chance to sample and test out the new Nitto Motivo tires on 19inch RAYS 57 Extreme Wheels. The size I sampled were 235-35-19 in the front wrapped on 19×8.5 and 255-35-19 in the rear wrapped on 19×9.5.
These rims/tires were newly installed on a brand new Scion FR-S with only 200 miles. As such, the wheel/tire combination that was on the car beforehand was the OEM 17inch wheels with Michelin Primacy tires.
My impressions on the Nitto Motivo tires from driving Orange County-Las Vegas, Las Vegas-Orange County, Orange County -San Diego and San Diego to Orange County are, that the tires are extremely quiet and provides a comfortable ride given that the car is lowered with 19inch rims. Dry handling also appears to have improved over the Michelin Primacy tires. I didn’t have the chance to test out the performance on wet roads yet, but according to what Nitto claims and others’ reviews, wet handling is superior than its competitors.
Also note that these all-season performance tire provide the longest limited treadwear warranty among all manufacturers at 60k miles (as of May 2012).
As started above, this tire gives the best treadwear, above average traction, quiet and is comfortable receives a recommendation from me.
