anodizing removal?

Default anodizing removal?

ok so i have some 2/3 pc wheels (how ever you look at it) and i do not like the barrel color. they are anodized and want to remove it. i looked on a few sites but got no concrete answer. what is best way to remove anodizing at home w/o blast cab?

Chemical stripper.

And, just as an FYI, you will do damage to aluminum if you media blast it (even if you cannot see it, the structure gets damaged at a microscopic level).

^ yea i was aware if damaging thats why mentioned w/o using, maybe i was not clear that was out of the question. but stripper will work? i read several things said it may or may not, and some guys had issues removing with striper.

Oven cleaner, can discolour some aluminium though

I've had good luck removing anodizing with brush-on chemical stripper. Its nasty stuff, but it works fantastic. Definitely use in an open area, though. Really nasty stuff.

yea thats same stuff i striped 5 layers of **** PR spray paint on my buddy clubs.

hay on a side note matt pm me if you do barrel polishing and a price for 4 15x6.5 ssr's would be all apart
