Default stripped motor mount bolt

it appears that one of the 2 bolts that hold the mount to the block (above the water pump, below the cam gear) is stripped. Don't ask me how. I don't know.

But I would like to get your guy's thoughts. When i tighten it, it just spins. When i looked at the threads they look folded over in the hole.

do you think i can chase a tap through hole and that would be enough?

can i use a release agent on the bolt and use jb weld to reform the threads?

or should I go some type of heli-coil setup? (do they make them for anysize bolt/thread?)

thanks guys.

heli-coil/thread insert

Best way to fix such a problem. Go to your local Fastenal/Napa, etc and buy a 10x1.25 heli-coil kit. You will drill out the hole, tap to a bigger size, and then install a metal thread insert, which is 10x1.25.
