Default Re-welding my Ramhorn???

it's very hard to see on my camera phone pics, but on a few welds on the runners they have minor cracks, they leak a bit, just wondering if I should junk the manifold or can it be re-welded? or will it just keep cracking no matter what I do? I believe it's made from sch 40 steel, it's a custom manifold I got for cheap, runners are a bit longer than a usual ramhorn I know:p

hairline crack on the weld

Looks like wretched penetration to me. You can weld the cracks shut, but I have a feeling you're just going to keep chasing them.

yeah i'd rather not keeping fixing exhaust leaks, this is how high the runners stick up as well, above my valve cover:p might have to just put the car down for a bit and save up for a high dollar ramhorn or mini-ram:/

Cut it up into its origional pieces. Grind the **** out of them and re-weld it with a tig welder. Was that thing mig welded by a chimp? The collector looks fine

thats a big NO WAY twice. Just buy/build a new one and toss that thing in the trash. it's done.

I'm sorry but for $7/bend it's not worth my time to cut anything apart and rework it.

Just in grind the weld's flush to the base metal, purge\re weld them, then smooth out your runners.
