Quick doughnut flange question.

Quick doughnut flange question.
Hi guys!
Super quick question, I recently bought a SSR street sweeper from a friend of mine to replace my 5zigen headers.
Atm im running 5zigen headers->magnaflow cat (with flanges to suit "jdm" system) -> fujitsubo rm01a catback.
Now the only issue is the SSR headers came with a flat flange so i'd like to replace that with a doughnut flange so I dont have to modify the cat/catback.
Now is it as simple as getting a new 2.5" flange and offsetting it back in a certain distance (1" or whatever it is currently on the "jdm" headers) to create the male side of a doughnut flange combo?
I've found this photo of a toda header which features a small spacer ring
But these plm headers dont so just want to double check before I start cutting/welding.
I've searched everywhere for info on doughnut flanges and can only find the "female" side so im assuming its as simple as above but pays to check anyways! Thanks for any advice guys!

Re: Quick doughnut flange question.
does the donut slide over the plm style header even though the donut isn't raised off the flange?
if the donut doesn't work, just cut and weld. any fabricator can do it, or an exhaust shop you trust to do a good job.
