Help with gas lens
Hi there I have been using a #7 cup on my gas lens. I bought a #12 and all I get is poping like their is no gas. I have to turn the flow meter to 34 or more to get it to work at all. Is this normal? Seems like a waste of gas
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Help with gas lens
You didn't by any chance put the collet in upside down?
It blocks most of the gas flow. I did that once and burn a nice black hole in a piece of aluminum.

Re: Help with gas lens
Hi thanks for the replies
Don't I just take the 7 cup off and put the 12 on?? That is all I'm doing I'm not touching anything else. The cups have the same size thread it just has a larger opening on the bottom.
It works great with smaller cup as it seems there is more pressure with the smaller opening...then I switch to the 12 and it is like there is no pressure until I start turning up the gas to 34+ ....but then it is too much.
Here is a pic
Is a gas lens different for a 12 cup?

Re: Help with gas lens
Yes your doing the right thing. I personally think the cup is 2 big for the lense, If you had a bigger lense you'd be better off.
