Finger Control Tips
I need some help…
Just purchased a finger control for my TIG but I am having a hell of a time getting used to it. The biggest problem I have is that it is a pain to wind it all the way and down… feels like I have to turn the **** 5 times. Do people turn the amperage all the way up so that they do not have to turn the finger control as much?
Just looking for good tips on how to use the finger control… since I already have it.

Re: Finger Control Tips (Mikes1098)
There are different kinds, at work we have one with a slider and it's got a place to put filler in the end, so it's like holding another torch and you just push your thumb up to raise amperage.. I hate finger tip controls, but at work it's what we have, because a lot of time we end up having to weld in weird places/upside down/ect. Took me a long time to get used to it.

I hate them also. I bought one for cages, but it sits in the drawer of my tollbox still. I'd rather get creative with ways to push the pedal.

Re: Finger Control Tips (9bells)
I started on the thumb control and that is what I use to this day. It does take getting used to, but in my case I have to use it. BTW, anyone that may have one sitting around, I am in need as mine kind of took a dump. I have a Lincoln machine. PM me if so.
THanks
