Yes.

In fact a faro arm/CMM is realistically the best way to measure something like that that has a bunch of different levels and hole locations that need to be precise.

I used to have access to a Faro Arm when I was a CNC Plasma operator in manufacturing. Now that I'm back in auto mechanics again, I don't have access to such tools anymore. Somebody informed me about 3D Scanners recently, when they saw a picture of me building an axle cover out of cardboard. I did a quick glance at them, but they seem reasonably priced, and some neat technology. Haven't looked any further than that.

One of my favorite design projects. Worked out nicely. Bearing gets pushed into race on jig where it's filled with grease and spring helps push it back out.

can someone make the dseries jrsc idler tensioner blacket pieces and alternator bracket, been looking for awhile and no luck ive tried moss and mercracing with no luck. or even a cad replica design template?
