^^ the hardin one isn't that bad. I used to use a big flapper wheel on the bench grinder before I got the pipe polisher/sander. It worked pretty good. but was a little hard to get some bends done, but it worked alright.

Scotchbrite Metal Finishing wheels. Mount to a 1.5HP Baldor Buffer. We polish thousands of parts a year with these.

That's the cheapest one I've seen. Looks like a quality unit too. Are u guys using the pipe sanders on schedule as well? Or are sch bends just too small to work with? That scotch wheel I suppose might be the way to go for weld els. But damn 3m is proud of it. Rightfully so tho. Scotch brite is in a class of its own.

The wide scotchbrites last quite awhile. I'm never thrilled when I have to restock them, but it comes down to pennies per part.

The hardin one works great, a little loud. I just use 80 grit to polish/sand. And you can do els on it. the other thing looks like it'd be hard to do small els. I have my hardin sander mounted to the bench and hold the pieces I'm sandin/polishing. dunno if i'd have enough patience to go through more than one step to sand pipe and tube. . Especially if you're doing it as your job and not a hobby where you can spend the time. I haven't tried the scotchbrite wheels though. they look interesting.

I've had the hardin for alil while. I buy the metabo belts for it. U can find them online. I'd like to try that scotchbright wheel because i have a 1.5hp baldor buffer but damn its expensive lol I bought my pipe sander on ebay for less than that wheel lmao!
