1993 Honda Civic hatchback bubble for sale - NJ
Finally deciding to part with my 93 hatch... Just bought an Audi so I need to get it off my insurance payment. It has 104k original miles, I am the 3rd owner, previous owner was my ex girlfriend. Clean title with NO accidents EVER. It is automatic. D15B7 motor, 1.5L. Great commuter car. She had a ton of service records on the car, which is still at her house, but I have read them all. Water pump/timing belt have been changed on this car in September 2008, and I bought it in September 2009 after it had sat for awhile. I had big dreams for the car, but financially it did not make sense. Mods are seldom but include a brand new (purchased/installed January 2010) Pioneer head unit with aux and usb input (car is also prewired for a subwoofer), 6000k HID's, clear corner lights, pillar pod w/ autometer gauges (I would need to negotiate these in with the sale price), and an eBay brand ram air intake. Has a little bit of security modifications also. I will throw in the stock air box w/ the sale.
ImageShack Album - 14 images <-- full album
Good: Between 29-33 MPG consistently all winter. Was pulling 35-36 in the summer. Tires gripped very well in the snow if using a low gear. HID kit looks quite nice, and illuminates well. Ipod hookup is sweet. Minor security mods. Depending on if you like it or not, it does have a $1200 maaco paint job. I will throw in an extra quart of touch up paint mixed by maaco to match this car, so if you ever needed to fix anything , duplicating the paint would be easy. Painted/clear coated OEM wheels. Clear corner lights. Tires are in great shape. After winter these have about 75% front/90% rear left. Inspection valid until the end of July 2011 in New Jersey. No accidents. Two owners previously (first owner was a Princeton University Student). Very low miles. New washer squirters (lol) and new rear wiper blade just installed. Wiper arms front and rear painted to match the car. 20% tint on rear windows. Car is being run on Lucas 10w30 synthetic oil, just changed it Feb 23. Car will come prewired for a sub.
Bad: Car has no muffler, exhaust rattles. Rust - as you can see it was repaired, not well enough, by myself. It is starting to slightly come back. I did prep everything properly and even used POR15 but still cancer is hard to defeat on these. You'll notice the paint is a bit off in those sections. I used a spray can to fix that area, but it was masked properly so there's no overspray. Couple scrapes on the hood, and a ding on passenger side door.
Car does not come with the strobe kit you may see installed in the pictures (dash light, visor lights) - that is for my volunteer firefighting and you'd need a permit to possess the lights.
Price is $2000 or best offer, include a note if your offer includes the autometer gauges.
I have not had to do much to keep this car on the road. Since I've bought it, the CEL has never come on once and it just keeps on ticking. It's a VERY reliable car for its age. I just need more room in the driveway, and on my insurance.
Thank you for looking.
