Default s1 cable internals in y80 hydro case

hi everyone, I have a y80 ls hydro trans with bad synchros and god knows what else and a perfectly good s1 cable trans. I was wondering what it would take or rather if its even possible to swap the internals out on these considering one is cable and the other is hydro.. as far as I can tell that only has to do with clutch engagement so if you guys can help me out it would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

Nope. YS1 cable guts swap over, but that's it.

I've got a mint 92-93 GSR YS1 that I planned on swaping over to hydro. Your saying this is possible? Do I just need a bseries hydro case?

Thanks (sorry for digging up an old thread)

Yes and yes. You will need to shim the mainshaft and diff when you do the swap.
