Default Engine swapped now gears shift terribly

Hey guys I just did an engine swap for my 98 civic dx its a d16y7 I'm using my same tranny the car was shifting perfectly fine and now its really hard to shift into gears also at low rpm my car barely moves does anybody know what could be the issue

Likely something wrong with your clutch installation. It could be as simple as an improperly bled clutch hydraulic line... but it may be inside the bell housing and will require removing the transmission to diagnose.

x2, I'll go with the clutch, did you use the same clutch and checked if application is the same?

I used sane clutch and tranny it looked like I lined it all up nicely what if I bent my shift linkage?

d16y7 is used in the same 96-2000 so clutch fitment should not be a problem. it is not probable but not impossible that the shift linkage is bent unless something happened with it. bleed the slave cylinder and check for air.

I attempted to full out the engine and starting lifted the car off the jacks and it was because I didn't remove my shift linkage I may have bent it and if I did would that cause for my gears to be extremely stiff?

it is possible but you could tell if the linkage is bent.
