Cannot Select 5th Gear After Rebuild

Cannot Select 5th Gear After Rebuild
Alright, I'm learning how a transmission works and what better way to do so than to modify and rebuild it.
I am rebuilding a 1989 4-spd manual from a base model civic hatch. I have added a 5th gear from it which came from a 1994 civic dx sedan. Here's what I have done with this build:
- replaced the spacers and added the gears
- used the shift forks from the 94 because they were in the best shape
- swapped the bracket that moves the reverse fork because the 94 bracket was a different size
- added reverse lockout
- replaced all bearings
- replaced all synchros
I am reusing the 4-spd case. Everything has fit together very nicely so far. However, while running through all the gears I got stuck on the 5th/reverse selector. I'm having to push very hard just to move the reverse fork and I can't seem to select 5th gear at all. The 5th shift fork will not move.
Does anyone know what is blocking 5th? I thought I swapped everything to avoid this...

Re: Cannot Select 5th Gear After Rebuild
After looking at everything, I found out there is a difference between the 4-spd reverse fork and the 5-spd reverse fork.
There is an extra space in the 5-spd that allows for 5th gear to be selected. After swapping, I now have 5th gear.
