Default anyone ever move their shifter "back more"?

so this may seem weird and I have tried searching, but has anyone been able to move their shifter back more?

The issue is in my ek hatch I have to reach pretty far for the shifter.
I am 6'3" and put del sol seats in to help the height which was awesome, but now shifting is just a tad bit far.
I wonder if there isn't a simple way to just add something to make the shifter a hair taller but ALSO move it back a few inches?

Thanks guys

Custom weld your shift linkage to add length.
