What should be used to hold down CF Hoods?
Hey, I've been researching, and was wondering which devices should be used to hold down CF Hoods? I heard hood pins arent so great. I also heard about a spring loaded clip that holds the hood down, and also a screw type hold down device. Anybody know the names of these devices? Anybody got pictures? Anybody know where I can get them? Price?

We use these to hold body panels on a race car at school. I imagine there would be some way to use them with CF hoods?

Hey MatT3T4 ,
I think you might want to think about getting some pins because when you get up to speed and your $500.00 QUALITY HOOD goes flying off and kill's some kid on the side of the road, the $20-$50 for the pins might have been a good idea.
Just a idea to keep in mind

I'm too afraid to drill into mine. Who do I take it to? A local body shop wanted $160 and was actually insulted when I laughed.
I don't have the tools to do it myself.
Now hood locks are simply hood pins with a locking mechanism, right?

You can see some pics of my hood and hood pins here. http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/...073&uid=163657
I installed them myself. I think they look pretty good actually. With mine, I noticed at freeway speeds, the corners would start to lift. I did not want to take any chances. So I pinned the damn thing down. To me it ain't worth risking the hood coming off.
