What to inspect/replace in high-mileage cars?
I (and my family) have a few higher mileage (170,000 - 180,000 miles) Hondas and I was thinking of doing as thorough of an inspection as I could. Is there a list or thread of things to check & replace for the sake of reliability? The water pump/timing belt has been replaced at 90-100k miles and the scheduled maintenance has been done on schedule. One is a 1st gen CR-V and the other is a 7th gen Civic.
I was concerned with any old, worn out/dry rubber or plastic as well. I was going to replace the top cover & oil pan gaskets since it's leaking a bit. Not sure if I should replace wiring or other things.
I came across these two links but they seem to be more American car-centric.

I'd ask that in the model specific technical forums, because the GDD way of maintaining old cars is to lease a BMW.

I LS1 swapped my high mileage Miata.
People still use those? lol. Have your girl rail some birth control.
And what, you think that someone should apologize for not telling you how to maintain your anti-American, Jap car?
