Default VTEC HELP!!!

ok, i got a 1997 civic ex coupe, it has a jdm b16a obd0 motor BUT the whole cars wiring was converted to obd2 so i am running a the big p2p ecu. by the ecu on the middle socket, there is a blue/red wire and a white/red wire that are cut and opened. the blue/red wire connects to a spliced yellow wire. the white/red wire connects to a spliced black wire. i got the car like this and i dont know why they did this? help me please!!

You haven't said that you have any problem. If the motor is running fine and you just want to know why the wires are spliced, you should get a pinout diagram for your ECU and then follow where the wires lead.

Replace the thermostat if it hasn't been replaced recently. Vtec won't engage if the engine isn't up to normal operating temperature. You can also check the motor's temp to see how well it's warming up.
