Valves make slight ticking noise after adjustment, LMA? Valve Guides?
It Starts at 2500 and continues, sounds exactly like detanotion. Very Slight. I say valve Guides cause when I had the header off I notice #2 valves had a small indention on the valves at the bottom of the guides and were shiny silver unilke all the others being dark black. This still occurs without throttle. The motor is a stock first gen b16

Re: Valves make slight ticking noise after adjustment, LMA? Valve Guides? (h22eg)
that happened to my f22a1. my valve seals went bad ( that explains oil in the cylinder) . I re did the clearances 3 times and still got stuck then snapped back up(some times). 3of my ex valves were either bent or getting stuck which helped the bending. Good luck and hope it's not that.

The seals i would assume are still good. Not really smoking, just valve train noise is the problem. Either the guides or lma, anyone experience these probs?
