Symptoms of cams one tooth advanced or retard
Looking for a run down of symptoms to look for if the cams were one tooth off Timing.

A tooth is a whole lot... the symptoms with depend on which cam (intake or exhaust), but expect a rough idle, poor power, and a very good chance of catching your valves on each other or bending them.

unable to clock ignition timing based on having to move the dist all the way forward or all the way back depending on the discrepancy. spitting/puffing coming from the exhaust, cars can run one tooth out on stock cams if only one cam is wrong, if they are both non-indexed chances are good they will slam into one another.
