small engine surge & bogging
Hi so first time posting here, hope I'm in the right place. Anyways I have a 93 civic DX coupe with d16z6 auto trans, just recently was having what seemed like a hunting idle so I decided to check my FITV. Pulled throttle body an got fitv off an noticed that the coolant o-ring had residue build up, (due to funds) instead of replacing it for the time being I just blocked it off with a gasket that I made (seeing as its getting warm where I live). Looped the fitv to throttle coolant port. Now my problem is when I start the car it wants to drop the idle very low (almost to zero) but never stalls or dies. While driving the RPMs will randomly bounce around +&- 100RPMs with a slight jerking but its very light,(can hardly fell it.) I've made sure to keep a eye on my oil just to make sure I'm not F-ing up the rod barring or anything, & oil is clean. I have Got the air out of the coolant system. I also noticed that if I'm going to get on the highway when I give it about %40 throttle it bogs really hard but if I push a lil more it takes off just like it should have to begin with.. Any help would be appreciated.
