Is it safe to re-tap the crankshaft?
I've managed to crush first couple of threads in the crankshaft, that bolt #20 goes into on the crankshaft.
So now the bolt doesn't catch at all.
Would it be safe to retap this thread? Would it hold the massive torque that this thread is put under?

you can attempt to retap it, but as you said who knows if it will hold the torque for the bolt you might need to have it helicoiled

Yes, I've thought about Helicoils... It would be a real b!tch to helicoil the crankshaft. Aren't Honda carankshafts heat treated steel?

I just ended up re tapping. It held the 130 lb-ft of torque, so I'm just gonna keep it like it.
Thanks for your help!
