RPM jumps at shifts
Recently I had problems with my VSS. When I fixed that I noticed that my RPM jumps between the shifts. That includes all the gears 1st-5th. Also when im slowing down , with the car in nutural my RPM stays at 1200 and as soon as I come to a complete stop my RPM drops to 800. I looked at my gas cable and it looks all good, I put lots of oil into it so there is less friction. How can I solve my problem? Thanks

Re: RPM jumps at shifts
between the shifts it jumps 100 RPM and than goes down close to Idle RPM. Also when car is Idling the RPM floats 50 RPM

What does the exhaust smell like at idle and when revving? What do the plugs look like? What mods do you have? What vehicle/motor is this?

Have you tried adjusting the idle with the idle screw? Do you have any vaccuum leaks. How advanced is the distributor? Start with the basics then get harder.
