Pinhole pissing coolant out of back of block...
Well i payed 3,000 for a NEW built block and got it all together installed, filled with coolant, and drip drip drip.... took me awhile to figure it out by finally found it. There is a small pin hole sized hole in the back of the block, about an inch from the top... then block was supposivley pressure tested when it was built but i guess not. the only reason i could find it was because when i started it the pressure built up and it would spray out...
ANYWAY... is this fixable? can i take it to a good welder and have them TIG weld it?

Take it back to where you bought it before you try to fix it, if you can prove it was faulty from the start it's their responsibility.

what is it though, like a crack on the block?
i mean if thats what it is i would be worried about the integrity, you dont know how big the crack is inside and why is it there...

Re: (feri0)
If it's just a small porous pinhole through the block wall into the water jacket, why not drill a small hole, tap it, and insert a plug/allen screw? Cheap/quick/easy. Just an idea. Or you could take it back to the builder, waste a lot of time, and risk them fuggin it up.

Re: Pinhole pissing coolant out of back of block...
I am new to this forum but if this is still active...I just had this on my 2006 Civic sedan. It is a manufacturing defect and has happened more than you think. Should be the mfg responsibility but if it wasn't original you're probably out of luck. Honda worked with me a bit but it should be their full repsponsibility. It cost $1,700 for me and I intend to get it back, anyone have the same issue??
