Default (P29 pistons, D16y8 head, PR4 rods, D16a block) About what compression will I be making? Look

Like it says I want to make as close to 11.5:1 compression as possible. I have a D16Y8 Head, PR4 Rods, and a D16a? block ('91 Si). I'm thinking about using P29 Pistons.
What might I need to get the desired compression ratio?
Thanks in advance

sorry If this is a redundant post, nothing came up in the search.

the p29's will yield around 12.5:1 c/r with the a6 pistons and the y8 head i think c/r will be around 10.5:1 not sure on that. i don't know if u can get 11.5:1 on factory pistons. chk spades post out on sohc upgrades pretty sure he goes over pistons and c/r also i think there is a link there for a c/r calculator.

you will be at 13.43:1 with a stock 3 layer headgasket...

how'd did u get 13.43 ? i thought that the gx pistons yielded something that crazy not the p29's.

i see with a z6 head it yields around a 12.5 c/r.

i know i saw, i just assumed from other posts that the y8 head on that combo yielded around 12.5.

So if I just run stock A6 pistons over .25mm and get the head milled I should be close to 11.5:1 compression, right?

is that what the comp calc said? if so then yes, BTW GX (PDN) pistons are the same dome as P29

d16 block, d16y8 3-layer HG, d16y8 head, P29 pistons = 12.61:1
d16 block, d16y8 3-layer HG, d16y8 head, PM6 pistons = 10.33:1
d16 block, d16y8 2-layer HG, d16y8 head, PM6 pistons, milled 0.020 = 11.19:1

are you sure about this? its about the same 7.2cc dome...or they yield the same compression ratio? where did you find that info...(not that im saying your wrong)...ive been looking for the info on the dome displacement.

also the PDN (98-00 GX) pistons use the 21mm wristpins so they will bolt up to the LS rods (only have to shave the bottoms).

unlike the 19mm d-series wristpins that require the LS rods to be rebushed.
