Oversquare B20
Does anybody have any experience with building or running an engine similar to this:
B20 block and rods
B16 crank and head
You end up with an 84mm bore, 77mm stroke, r/s ratio of 1.78:1, and 1.7 liters of displacement. The only downside is you would need aftermarket pistons to get a decent compression ratio.
I figure you can find B20B shortblocks for pretty cheap and B16 cranks for 200 or less. Then I could use my LS rods, sell the rest of my engine towards a PR3 head and forged pistons.
Any thoughts about the power or location of the power with this kind of set up?

Re: Oversquare B20 (MolecularIntegra)
You'd effectively have a 1.7 liter CTR motor. Power band would be located pretty high, like the B16, but the displacement should help w/ the low end. Sounds like a good idea, but could end up costing a lot more than expected w/ the custom parts.
