i just built the motor with 12.5 comp. the motor has good oil pressure. idle at 30psi and around 90 at open throttle. now the seal breaks at idle. i tried the s2000 filter, purolater and fram, all with the same result.

i made sure the old gasket was off the block before the new filter came on.

i am really stumped o this one guys.

just try an oem skinny one, and torque it to spec. there's no reason it should blow.. unless you shimmed the **** outta your oil pump for more pressure. it'd probably be a good idea to hook up an oil pressure gauge and see what it's hitting.

i have the oil press gauge. its 30 at idle and 95 on full throttle. i am gonna check the relief valve on the oil pump to make sure it not stuck.

wow aint never seen that happen before hum? u did put lil bit of oil on the ring n/m doubt that would work yea i would try to get skinnyer one and tq. it. i should be fine

i just tried that and no luck. i am going to replace the whole pump to see what happens. and to add to the drama i drove my car for the first time in about 2 weeks, and some body hit me from the side. that sucked but at least i get a fresh paint job.

try useing oem one for b20 it make work just a thought...

Is the filter seating all the way down? 90 psi shouldn't be a problem.

i tried the stock one but no luck. im just gonna put a b16 oil pump that i have laying around. i hope that works. now i have to fix it this week so i can take the car to the body shop.

any more opinion guys.
