obd2 inspection
hey sup guys . I ned help passing emissions. It is way harder this year. they plug their computer into the OBDII diagnostic plug now. i've now failed it 10 times now. It said that my car was not ready??? they said it was something about the ecu being not ready? on the paper it said

Monitors not ready
Catalyst (NEW)
Evaporative system
Oxygen sensor
It says that every tiem i fail. help me please.

Engine light on? Are you going to the same place over and over? or trying different places to pass emissions?
Find a freind w/ the same computer and swap it for his.

I am an inspector and see this every day almost. If you change anything or just disconnect the battery... all the sensors have to be put through a drive cyle before they will reset. The drive cycle varys per car, but most can be reset if driven atleast 50 miles in a constant block of time. No stopping where the motor has to be turned off. Now 5 miles to work everyday wont reset it even if driven 500 miles, because it has to be driven for a prolonged period.

so your saying drive 50 miles then get it tested? cause ive ben driving alot but just to school and back and thats like 3-5 miles everyday.
