ek civic w/ usdm obd2 h22a. im throwing code p1337. or crank position sensor high voltage using usdm obd2a p72. could this problem be coming from the obd2 dizzy? i need my car running with no engine light for emissions. i need help bad

it cnat be coming fromt eh distributor sicne that sensor is on the oil pump.

did u do a diognostic on it first and see what number shows up as the problem

diagnosis? i plugged a scanner into obd2 connector and read p1337. for crankposition sensor. the thing i dont get is if u unplug the crank sensor the engine will not start. therefor i dont know why it would be throwing a code because the engine runs

It can ignore the sensor, just like if a CYP sensor in the distrib goes bad, the car will run. It just won't run as well as if you had a good sensor in there. It's a secondary OBDII sensor.

I'm not saying it will run like poo, just that OBDII will be happier if it's fixed...

well that still makes no sense seeming that the ckp controls sequential fuel injection. if the ckp sensor dont work how would the ecu know when to tell the injectors to spray?

also does anyone know if the speed fluctuation and TDC combo sensor is the same for h22 as b-series?
