Default Mystery outlets on radiator

ok guys how well do you know radiator design? take a look at the pics on this thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=484781

Refer to #17 and 18 hoses on the integra diagram and #13 and 14 on the civic. Anybody know what they are?

I think they're for automatic transmission.

mines is too.

i checked the hose outlets for the transmission and they aren't connected to the main hose outlets that go to the engine, so i don't think i will have a leaking problem.

does anybody know if the transmission cooling loop runs through a significant part of the core?

Most just run a loop or two through the bottom tank. I don't think they get near the core. I'd just put caps over the fittings to keep crud out and make sure nothing can get in that could damage the loop. If it gets a leak, coolant would come out the unused auto trans fittings.
