Default MAP sensor signal lower/higher than expected?

Car is stock as far as the engine department goes, drove car fine until today. When I stopped for a stop sign, the car jerked like if it were about to stall, after I got home, the jerking (of the car people) was more intense. CEL came on a threw a MAP signal lower/higher than expected code. Does anyone know what could cause this and what could be wrong with the car? How can I fix this?
