Default Maintence Light On?

I have an ek with a b18c1, and I have si gauges installed. Recently my si gauges has had the maintence required light on. Would this be classified as throwing a code? I wasnt sure because the check engine light is not on. Thanks

The maintenece req. light is ONLY triggered by milage. I know this for a fact, all you have to do is reset it with that inverted cresent switch thingy on the cluster. I am not sure, but it turns on about every 4K miles, nothing to worry about, just reminding you to do maintinence.
