King bearings! WTF?!
I decided to try some king bearings that I had laying around in my motor today. I installed them and took out the mic and bore gauge and measured the clearance. I was getting around .003"+! I started to measure the crank and the main's bore to make sure it was the right size and everything was measuring correctly. Then I measured the bearings and they were around .077". To make sure my mic was not off, I measured a 1" anvil and it was reading right on the money. My stock visibly worn bearing out of my old motor was a little more than .001" thicker than the king bearing.
I don't know if I got a set made wrong or if all king bearings are made wrong. I checked the part number of it and it was correct.
Be wary of using these bearings! Mine were definantly the wrong size. Also they are bi-metal bearings.
Also, I was wondering if anyone knew what size the ACL bearings are? What color honda bearing do they correspond to?
