Yes, 3 of them maybe all 4. If you dont have properly functioning 02s they tell the ECU to dump a ton of fuel into the engine. So when both are not working it makes for bad emissions and bad mpg. The coolent temp.sen. will tell the engine when its @ opperating temp so it can adjust the A/F ratio properly.

The coolant temperature sensor is for the ECU. There's a separate sensor for the gauge, they don't 'share' information.
The 2nd O2 sensor is probably located down in or near the cat.

oh yeah... I just noticed its a '92. I guess you only have the one oxygen sensor.
Hope it's similar to my 2 cars.
The engine coolant temperature sensor is near where the upper radiator hose attaches to the engine. 2-wires with a plastic plug, at least on my cars. There's a similar 'sensor' in the thermostat housing, which is at the lower radiator hose. That one's the fan switch.

Was this damaged 02 wire on the 02 sensor side or on your engine harnesses side? And was the replaced 02 sensor a 4-wire 02 sensor?

Re: howdo i fix my CEL? (iam7head)
i got the code 43 on my obd1 d16z6. i first got it a few weeks after installing bosch universal o2 sensor on my aftermarket header. the sensor was moved to the collector from the primary exhaust runner. would the movement of the o2 sensor alone cause the code?? sorry to ask this in your thread, but it was kinda on topic and starting to get me angry

1. Please tell me you were being sarcastic when asking the question in bold?
2. Do you really want help or are you just messing around? You are extremely vauge with everything. I don't know if this is just how you normally communicate on a message board, or if you are just playing games.
