How often do you change spark plugs?
1. I'm trying to get an idea how many miles you log before you change plugs? My plugs look about the same at 10K miles vs 30K miles.
2. Platinum tip plugs are suppose to last long. Some say 100K. What do you think? Any real world experience?

Re: How often do you change spark plugs? (GoLowDrew)
I just replaced my plugs at 89k but im not the first owner so im not sure on the life. I had NGK platinum in before, and i replaced them with the same ones, they'll last quite a while but theyre gonna run about 15$ each Can.
I think Honda uses platinum tips from the factory, but im not sure on that...

My first set went 60k miles with no problem. Since then, I've gone another 30k miles and changed them twice, but more for change in heat range, not because they were worn out. Oh, I use only NGK platinums.

Before I started using NOS, I changed plugs once a year in the spring as part of my AUTOX tune-up. I would also change the oil and brake fluid. Lube all the poly bushings, etc.
BTW at $8 for for NGK plugs, once a year is pretty cheap.

Re: How often do you change spark plugs? (Spade)
Well, I usually do them after every 10K miles just b/c no matter how many times I tune my V-AFC, I do something else that will richen up the A/F ratio too much... and NOS loves new plugs too...
