how long did everyone stock clutch last?
i think my clutch is going...but i have no clue...when i first got my car like last year (GSR) i grinded 2nd gear or it wouldn't go in....then in the middle of the next year i grinded 3rd...but now i put another 20k hard miles on it (now at 81k) and now i grinded 2nd pretty bad...i put it in neutral then back into 2nd and the car started goin on the fritz...like how first gear is if u tap the gas multiple times....but then i went to third then back to 2nd and nothing....i don't want to fork out more money for a new tranny...i'll be gettin a new clutch soon ...
is there alot of damage to the tranny from this?

It doesn't sound like your clutch is bad, it sounds like your synchros are. A bad stock clutch will be slipping (ie., when in gear your RPMs will increase without the car speeding up), grabbing, or chattering. Difficulties putting it in gear are problems with the tranny.

You are correct, but note that if there is a severely worn clutch (as it probably is after 80k+ hard miles), that it may not be disengaging fully, which makes the syncros job alot harder, and can lead to their demise.
