This is on a 89 CRX Si. Nobody seems to know how.

Garden hose into the inlet/outlet? How do I force the water out after I flushed it?

I feel your pain it's gettin cold, Disconnect the connections @ the firewall and you'll have to rig up some kind of piece so you can hook your garden hose up. Doesn't matter which side you flush from just make sure there is'nt any valves in the way that would stop or inhibit flow.BTW on a 89 (thats pretty old for our neck of the woods) you might be ready for a new core, in-fact I would pull the hole damm kit and cabootle now and do a heater core so your not freezing you a#@ off in the middle of winter. Check all hoses for obstruction, Is the water pump good? burrrrrrrrr

Why can't you just flush the whole system, like a radiator, turn the car on, get it hot, turn on the heater full blast then do a flush like normal, won't that get the gunk or debris out of the heater core also

NO, you'll just blow all that crap around the rest of the motor and RAD.

No way I'm replacing the core if I don't have to. That is a huge PITA. The crx only blows warm air (best through defrost vents). I'm hoping the flush will do the trick. Valve opens/closes fine also.

They make tools that use compressed air to vacuum all of the fluid out of the cooling system. The same tool will also allow you to replace the vacuum with coolant. 5 minutes and it's done. It's mighty ****.
