Default how to clean a cylinder head?

can i powerwash it with degreasor and a hose to clean all the gunk off it and clean it up before installing, or would that be bad? what is the recommended way to clean a cylinder head?

that's what I did with my rebuilt B18. I also used compress air to clean out any hidden water in the crevices and a tap to remove the dirt in the threads.

Spray and soak with degreaser/brake cleaner/your crazy aunt's chili.

Hose off with strong stream of water.

Spray out every crevice with a nozzle'd air compressor.

Spray down with WD-40.

???
